Have Your Say in Stevenage’s Future

We are working in partnership with Stevenage Borough Council to unlock up to 1,000 new homes alongside improved station facilities and infrastructure.

The vision includes around 50,000 sqm of additional development, bringing new public amenities, community spaces, and a landscaped route that better connects the town centre, station, and Leisure Park.

Shaping a New Destination Together

Station Gateway is a major opportunity to reshape Stevenage as part of a wider economic strategy. By creating new homes, vibrant public spaces, and a mix of commercial and leisure uses, the project will help support local businesses, increase footfall, and create a destination that works throughout the day and into the evening.

Residents, businesses and community groups will be able to learn more and share their views through a series of community conversations, events, and activities starting from September 2026.

It is a unique opportunity for infrastructure-led regeneration which will not only deliver new homes – including affordable homes – for all the whole community but continue to promote Stevenage as a fantastic location for businesses to invest and grow.

Community Conversation

Later this year, we will be hosting a series of community conversations as part of our public consultation. These sessions are an opportunity for you to share your views on how Stevenage can be improved.

We want to understand what matters most to you — how you would like to see Stevenage develop, what’s currently missing, and how we can better meet the needs of the community.

Keep an eye out for further announcements about these sessions, coming later this year.
